Maintenance Technician – Extended Stay Hotel

Job Summary:

At our Envi Extended Stay properties in Las Vegas, we provide comfortable, well-maintained weekly accommodations where guests can feel at home, whether they’re staying short-term or long-term. Our team is focused on accountability, exceptional service, and maintaining safe, welcoming properties for our guests.

We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Maintenance Technician I to support one of our weekly extended-stay hotel properties.

In this role, you will help ensure guest units, common areas, and property systems are well-maintained, functional, and guest-ready. You will perform routine maintenance and repairs, assist with unit turns, complete preventive maintenance, and respond to guest service requests while helping maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for every guest.

Schedule:

  • Full-time, onsite position.
  • Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, are required workdays.
  • Weekday days off will be determined based on business needs.
  • Participation in the on-call rotation is required.

Essential Functions: (Include but are not limited to)

Legendary Customer Service:

  • Respond to guest maintenance requests professionally and promptly.
  • Follow up to ensure maintenance concerns have been resolved, and guest satisfaction is maintained.
  • Foster positive and professional relationships with guests, team members, vendors, and other business partners.

Maintenance & Repairs:

  • Take ownership of assigned maintenance tasks and ensure timely completion.
  • Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs involving plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, fixtures, and general building systems.
  • Troubleshoot common maintenance issues and complete repairs within the scope of the position; escalate more complex repairs as needed.
  • Perform basic carpentry, drywall repair, patching, painting, door/lock repairs, and fixture replacement.
  • Complete unit turns efficiently, ensuring rooms are functional and ready for incoming guests.
  • Respond to work orders and maintenance requests in a timely manner.
  • Assist with larger maintenance projects and repairs as directed.

Preventive Maintenance & Inspections:

  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on guest units, equipment, and property systems.
  • Conduct routine inspections of guest rooms, common areas, and property equipment to identify maintenance needs.
  • Complete basic safety and property condition checks and promptly report concerns requiring additional attention.
  • Maintain accurate records of preventive maintenance and completed work.

Property Upkeep:

  • Assist with maintaining cleanliness and safety of common areas.
  • Identify and address safety hazards.
  • Assist with property emergencies, including water leaks, power issues, fire or life-safety concerns, severe weather events, and other urgent maintenance needs.

Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; relevant technical training or certifications are a plus.
  • 1+ year of general maintenance, facilities, hotel, multifamily, or related hands-on experience preferred.
  • Basic working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, carpentry, and general property maintenance.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and complete routine maintenance and repairs, with the ability to recognize when an issue should be escalated.
  • Experience using common hand and power tools safely.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and complete assigned work orders in a timely manner.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with guests, vendors, and team members.
  • Ability to work independently on routine assignments while also working effectively as part of a team.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced extended-stay environment with frequent unit turns and changing priorities.
  • Valid driver’s license, proof of auto insurance, and reliable transportation required.
  • Ability to participate in an on-call rotation and meet the required work schedule, including Saturdays and Sundays.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to safely climb stairs and ladders and work at varying heights as required.
  • Ability to safely navigate guest units, mechanical areas, exterior grounds, and other areas of the property.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather and temperature conditions.
  • Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and other maintenance equipment.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding maintenance tasks throughout the workday while following established safety procedures.
